Plumber Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures.
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, building codes, and technical diagrams.
• Perform routine maintenance on water supply systems and related equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot water heaters, pumps, and filtration systems.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies and provide efficient repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
• Provide accurate estimates for labor, material costs, and timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plumbing preferred.
• Valid plumbing license (or ability to obtain one, depending on local requirements).
• Minimum of 2–5 years of plumbing experience (varies based on role level).
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and industry standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial or industrial plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of welding or pipefitting.
• Familiarity with HVAC or mechanical systems.
• Ability to use plumbing diagnostic software or electronic systems.

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor worksites.
• Occasional exposure to confined spaces, heights, and hazardous materials.
• Must be available for on-call or emergency repairs as needed.
