Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across a variety of residential properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience in plumbing and heating systems. The position involves working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to clients, ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times.

Duties

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems in residential settings
  • Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently
  • Conducting routine inspections to identify issues with existing systems and implementing appropriate solutions
  • Performing heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely and effectively
  • Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex system problems
  • Reading technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately
  • Assisting with carpentry tasks related to system installations or repairs when necessary
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
  • Operating commercial vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or equipment as required

Qualifications

  • Must Have ACS in natural gas, HTR1, CKR1 CENWAT and CPA1
  • Must have boiler manufacturer training and an extensive knowledge of fault finding and diagnosis.
  • Proven experience in plumbing and heating of atleast 5 years
  • Oil and LPG qualifications would be advantageous
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and assembly processes.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, heating units, and associated components
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Experience with carpentry tasks related to system installation or repair is advantageous
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills for troubleshooting issues effectively
  • Valid driving licence
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
