Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
- Conduct regular inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in heating systems, providing effective solutions.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
- Collaborate with plumbing teams to integrate heating systems with existing plumbing infrastructure.
- Carry out carpentry work as needed for system installations or modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while on-site, ensuring a safe working environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex heating systems.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in a variety of settings.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
- Familiarity with plumbing practices related to heating systems is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs.
- Valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transporting equipment to job sites.
