Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
• Conduct regular inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in heating systems, providing effective solutions.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
• Collaborate with plumbing teams to integrate heating systems with existing plumbing infrastructure.
• Carry out carpentry work as needed for system installations or modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while on-site, ensuring a safe working environment.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex heating systems.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in a variety of settings.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
• Familiarity with plumbing practices related to heating systems is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs.
• Valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transporting equipment to job sites.

• Gas and Oil preferred.
• Unvented Hot Water
• Water Regs
• NVQ2/3

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
