Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heating Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with heating systems.
• Assemble and plumb components of heating systems using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform welding tasks as necessary for system repairs or modifications.
• Carry out heavy lifting tasks when moving equipment or materials.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to complete installations effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge related to heating systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
• Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job.
• Previous experience in plumbing or related fields is desirable but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £31,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
