Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Overview
Due to the steady growth of our business we are looking for an apprentice trained NVQ level 3 or equivalent plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team. Min 5 years fully trained experience required. You will be working on building projects new and existing around Malton, Ryedale and York area.

Rate of pay will depend on experience and qualifications.

Applicant would need to be experienced in installing and maintenance of domestic Plg & Htg systems, and be able to work independently or part of a team. You would also occasionally be required to liase with clients on site, so good customer service skills are necessary for this position.

Full UK driving license required

Gas safe would be beneficial but not necessary.

Duties

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems in both commercial and residential settings
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently
  • Conducting routine inspections to identify faults or potential issues within systems
  • Performing heavy lifting of equipment or materials as required for installation or repair projects
  • Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex system problems effectively
  • Utilising basic maths for measurements, calculations, and system specifications
  • Engaging in carpentry work when necessary to support system installation or modifications
  • Operating commercial vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or equipment to various sites
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in plumbing, heating systems, or related mechanical trades
  • Proficiency with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations relevant to installation tasks
  • Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
  • Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards at all times

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
