Plumbing Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Plumbing Dispatcher to coordinate service requests, manage scheduling, and ensure efficient communication between clients, technicians, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations within our plumbing service department and supporting overall logistical functions.

Duties

• Receive and prioritize incoming service requests via multi-line phone systems and other communication channels.
• Schedule plumbing technicians efficiently using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GIS, GPS, and transportation planning tools to optimize routing and dispatching of field personnel.
• Coordinate freight, shipping & receiving, and fleet management activities to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment.
• Maintain accurate data entry related to dispatch activities, work orders, and inventory using AS400 and other enterprise systems.
• Communicate effectively with technicians, clients, suppliers, and internal teams via phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
• Monitor and update logistics data to support supply chain operations and 3PL relationships.
• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process improvements in transportation management and logistics workflows.
• Assist with reporting on dispatch performance metrics and support analysis for transportation planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.
• Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, freight logistics, shipping & receiving processes, and fleet management.
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to transportation planning and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in data entry, typing skills, and managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette.
• Familiarity with 3PL logistics providers, shipping & receiving procedures, and transportation analysis tools like AS400.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders across various departments.
• Ability to handle dispatching responsibilities efficiently while managing time-sensitive requests.
• Prior experience in logistics or transportation planning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed. Pay: $24.38 - $29.37 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
