Plumbing Site Engineer

Role Purpose

The Plumbing Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and executing all plumbing and piping works at the construction site. The role ensures compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines while coordinating with other disciplines, subcontractors, and suppliers.  

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise and oversee the installation of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, pumps, and piping networks.

• Review and interpret drawings, technical specifications, and method statements related to plumbing works.

• Plan and monitor daily site activities to ensure smooth execution of plumbing tasks.

• Coordinate with consultants, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to resolve site issues.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company quality standards.

• Inspect completed works for adherence to project requirements and specifications.

• Prepare and maintain progress reports, inspection logs, and material requests.

• Support testing, commissioning, and final handover of plumbing systems.

• Identify risks, delays, or technical challenges and propose effective solutions.

• Liaise with local authorities for necessary inspections and approvals.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 1–3 years of proven experience as a Plumbing Site Engineer in construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, and pump systems.

• Familiarity with relevant plumbing codes, standards, and local regulations.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.

• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and site coordination skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
