Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Per Diem PM After Care Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during after-school hours. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. You will be responsible for implementing educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development while ensuring the well-being of each child in your care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Supervise and interact with children in a positive manner to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using appropriate behavior management techniques.
• Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention.
• Facilitate literacy and math activities that promote foundational skills in young learners.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of all children during after-care hours.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall educational experience for students.

Skills

• Strong background in early childhood education, including preschool experience and toddler care.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with standardized testing practices and early literacy education techniques.
• Experience working with students in various educational settings such as daycare, private schools, or Montessori environments.
• Proficiency in teaching physical education and promoting overall child welfare through active engagement.
