Polymer Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polymer Engineer to research, develop, test, and optimize polymer-based materials and products. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, material science, processing techniques, and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new polymer materials and formulations
• Improve existing polymer products for performance, cost, and sustainability
• Conduct material characterization and testing (mechanical, thermal, rheological, chemical)
• Support manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and compounding
• Troubleshoot processing and material-related issues in production
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, production, and sales teams
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and specifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in polymer/material development (depending on role level)
• Knowledge of thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, and composites
• Experience with polymer processing techniques
• Familiarity with material testing equipment (DSC, TGA, DMA, UTM, rheometer, FTIR, etc.)
• Understanding of ISO/ASTM material standards

Preferred Skills

• Experience with biodegradable or sustainable polymers
• Knowledge of compounding and additives (fillers, stabilizers, plasticizers)
• CAD or simulation software experience (will be a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project management abilities

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs130,000.00 per month
