POOL BARTENDER
Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager

Status Type: Seasonal, Hourly
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bartender is responsible for providing an exceptional beverage experience for members and guests at Mission Hills Country Club. This role involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining a high level of professionalism, customer service, and adherence to club standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Member & Guest Experience:
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, following all sanitation and safety standards.
  • Engage with members to recommend beverages based on their preferences and club offerings.
  • Process transactions accurately using the club’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Monitor and manage alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service and compliance with Club and legal regulations.
  • Assist with beverage inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Support Club events and private functions by preparing and serving beverages as required.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure seamless food and beverage service.
  • Follow all policies and procedures regarding responsible alcohol service and health codes.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined in this position description, employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor. These duties will be within the scope of the employee’s position and will align with the needs of the Club. The assignment of additional tasks ensures operational efficiency and supports the overall goals of the department. Employees are expected to be flexible and adaptable in fulfilling these responsibilities as directed.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
  • Bartending experience in a private club, upscale restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, and wine.
COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with members and guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of state and local liquor laws and responsible beverage service protocols.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (ServSafe Alcohol) preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
