position.

Sandburg Pools (Managed by FFC Old Town)
Compensation:
$17 per hour
Pre-Season Duties and Responsibilities at Both Pools: (April/May)
-
Unpack all pool supplies and deck equipment from cabanas
-
Perform detailed cleaning of all pool equipment, guard office, break room, locker rooms, pool seating, and surrounding areas
-
Thoroughly clean the interior of pools and gutters
-
Set up pool deck and seating according to designated photo layout
In-Season Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Check in and greet members by name and always with a smile
-
Track all membership inquiries made in person and over the phone utilizing tracking form provided by Pool Manager
-
Assist Pool Manager in checking and maintaining pool chemical levels and temperature and recording all test results in chemical log
-
Know and follow procedures as described in the appropriate procedures manual
-
Enforce all pool rules including usage restrictions for limited use passes
-
Answer all questions for members and guests in accordance with pool procedures
-
Be aware of information sheets on various activities
-
Responsible for control of cash handled at the register
-
Answer phone promptly and direct calls accordingly in a professional manner
-
Keep front desk area clean, neat and organized
-
Maintain an accurate cash drawer and balance cash register at the close of each shift
-
Attend all required department and club staff meetings
-
Provide additional support the Customer Service Manager as needed
-
Responsible for opening, closing and shift specific cleaning tasks in locker rooms, bathrooms and on pool deck
-
Responsible for reporting any maintenance issue to Pool Manager and Sandburg facility maintenance upon identification of issue
-
Responsible as directed by Pool Managers and Head Guards to assist as needed with shift reporting
-
Responsible for being aware and attentive to team mates and patrons at all times. Cell phone or reading material is prohibited for use on shift
Post-Season Duties and Responsibilities at Both Pools (September/October)
-
Break down pool deck setup and properly store equipment and supplies
-
Perform a comprehensive final deep cleaning of all pool equipment, locker rooms, offices, and common areas
-
Clean and prepare pools and gutters for off-season closure
-
Assist with packing and securing all seasonal materials for storage and put into the cabanas
Qualifications:
-
Six (6) months to one (1) year of previous customer service, hospitality, retail (or related industry)
-
Must be at least 16 years of age
-
American Red Cross CPR Certification (or equivalent)
-
American Red Cross First Aid Certification (or equivalent) (Certification course may be available)

Ability to lift and carry rescue equipment and assist patrons when necessary
