Full-Time Population Health Analyst

The Population Health Analyst supports data-driven decision-making by delivering high-quality business intelligence reporting and leading analytic projects that advance the mission of Charles B. Wang Community Health Center. The Population Health Analyst reports to the Director of Data Analytics and will work collaboratively with other members of the division as well as with clinical or administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support analytic needs
- Extract and analyze data from multiple systems including EHR (e.g., Epic Clarity/Caboodle), billing, HR, and external data sources
- Develop and maintain reporting processes with SSRS/Power BI data visualization tools for all departmental needs
- Develop reports and visualizations using EPIC Hyperspace reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, SlicerDicer)
- Conduct in-depth analysis of Health Center data to answer key strategic clinical and operations-related questions
- Perform basic data cleaning and data wrangling to prepare data for analysis
- Conduct statistical analyses as needed to adjust for confounding and communicate uncertainty associated with findings
- Contextualize conclusions through academic and grey literature review
- Support translation of analysis into content for briefing documents and presentations
- Provide administrative support to Population Health Department as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s in Data Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Computer Science or related field
- Two to five years of experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or reporting
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying large, complex datasets
- Experience working with EHR data (Epic Clarity/Caboodle strongly preferred)
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience working in an FQHC, community health center, or safety-net healthcare environment
- Familiarity with value-based care, quality improvement, and population health analytics
- Experience using EPIC reporting tool suite (Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, SlicerDicer)
- Knowledge of healthcare coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Proficiency in statistical programming language(s) (R or Python)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
