Location: SOHO, NYC

Children’s Ages: 2.5, 4.5, and 7.5 year old girls

Ideal Start Date: as soon as the family finds the right fit.

Schedule: Monday – Sunday, 1 week on and 1 week off, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm, with some flexibility needed.

Travel: typically 1-2 weeks a time, several times per year.

The Ideal Candidate

• A warm, loving, and experienced nanny with at least 5 years of full-time nanny experience and has experience with multiple children in the same family.
• A team player mindset and can work well with the parents, independently, and with the other ROTA nanny.
• A long-term commitment to the family and a genuine interest in combining Family Assistant responsibilities with nannying. As the children spend much of the day out of the house, the Family Assistant role ensures the household runs smoothly.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
• Punctuality, reliability, and a professional demeanor, while fostering a warm and nurturing atmosphere.
• A trustworthy and honest nature, building relationships based on integrity and mutual respect.
• A nurturing, attentive disposition and a genuine love for children’s well-being and development.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs, occasional travel, and other family requirements.
  
  

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Everything related to the well-being of the children.
• Engaging the children with fun and age-appropriate activities.
• General meal prep for the kids and cleaning up the kitchen after children’s meals.
• Bedtime and bath time routines.
• Homework help.
• Indoor and outdoor activities.
• Children’s laundry.
• Organizing the children’s clothes, closets, toys, and rooms.
• Assistance with child-related scheduling.
• Child-related errands.
• Keeping the main spaces of the home and the child’s room clean and tidy.
• Occasional travel.
  
  

The right candidate will be proactive, positive, energetic, organized, patient, kind, knowledgeable about child development, enthusiastic about nurturing the children’s interests, and have excellent communication skills.

The ability to drive is a plus but not a requirement. Flexibility to occasionally walk the small 10-pound dog is also a major plus.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant FT nanny experience.
• At least two years of nanny experience with multiple children.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
• 2-3 valid references
• Ability to travel.
• Must be comfortable around a small dog.
  
  

Compensation : $40.00 + per hour (gross) or higher, depending on experience and credentials.

Benefits: 10 days PTO. 5 sick days per year. Paid major holidays. MTA reimbursement, and other benefits, such as a healthcare stipend, can be negotiated.
