Post Doctoral Associate (Wallace)

The University of Pittsburgh Center for Analytics in Sleep, Circadian Rhythms, and Health is seeking a post-doctoral associate who desires a career in developing and/or applying advanced statistical methods for psychiatry. The successful Candidate will continue in their own independent methodological and/or applied research, receive training in cutting-edge methods for statistics in psychiatry (e.g., related to sleep/circadian data, mental health, high-dimensional and/or multi-modal data, clustering, and/or machine learning), and engage in various applied collaborative projects sponsored by NIH and other agencies. The Candidate will publish their research in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals and have the opportunity to help to develop and submit grants as an independent investigator and/or key collaborator. The University of Pittsburgh Center for Analytics in Sleep, Circadian Rhythms and Health is within the Department of Psychiatry, a highly collaborative research environment that is recognized internationally as a leader in multiple domains of psychiatric research, and that prioritizes superiority and excellence in mentoring. Qualifications:

Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to quality and integrity are essential skills. A PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, biostatistics, or quantitative psychology) is preferred. Familiarity with mixed effect models, analysis of high-dimensional data, clustering, and/or machine learning are also preferable.
