Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Postdoctoral fellow at the Florida International University, located in Miami, FL. The postdoctoral researcher will engage in day-to-day tasks involving laboratory experiments, data collection, and data analysis focused on the molecular mechanisms, transmission, biochemistry, immunology and drug discovery to block malaria infection and transmission. Additionally, the role involves preparing and presenting research findings, collaborating with other researchers, and potentially contributing to teaching activities within the department.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology laboratory skills
  • Strong Research background and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Entomology, or related field
  • Experience in vector biology is an advantage

Salary and benefits

  • Salary is commensurate with experience, a range of 50,000 to 60,000 USD
