Details of Research Project:
This research project in the Sachs laboratory focuses on the development of integrated human organoid and organ-on-chip models that combine cardiac, hepatic, and hematopoietic compartments, to study drug responses and disease mechanisms. Experimental approaches include 3D culture systems, microfluidic platforms, advanced imaging, and quantitative computational analysis.
Technical Duties (include any protocols):
This position requires expertise in human pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation, 3D organoid culture, and microphysiological systems. Techniques include flow cytometry and cell sorting, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy, qPCR and RNA-based analyses, protein assays, and functional phenotyping of cardiac, hepatic, and hematopoietic tissues. Responsibilities also include experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting complex multi-lineage systems, and contributing to protocol development and optimization. Interaction with bioengineering collaborators and operation of automated or semi-automated culture systems.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
