CrossLife Technologies is dedicated to developing and commercializing novel diagnostics based on innovative nucleic acid technologies for many diseases.
We have an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Scientist - Molecular Biology. She/He will engage in the design and microbial production of protein building blocks that generate innovative materials with programmable patterns, architectures, and emergent biological functions. The project will involve research at the intersections of biological and (bio)chemical engineering, and synthetic biology. He/She will be responsible for research and development of products from feasibility through clinical trials and transfer to manufacturing. He/She should be highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
We are seeking a person who has:
· a familiarity with laboratory and sterile techniques as well as a working knowledge of standard
laboratory equipment and reagents
· hands-on experiences in point-of-care diagnostic.
· must have hands-on experiences in a wide variety of Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and
Biochemistry techniques.
· ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
· ability to juggle and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
· experience using both Macs and PCs.
· experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat. Excellent communication
skills (both written and oral).
Requirements:
· Ph.D. of Science in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics,
Bioengineering or related field and a minimum of 3 years related work experience.
· Experience in with genetic engineering, synthetic biology methods, protein design, engineering
and purification, qPCR using TaqMan.
· Strong experience in Microbiology, Molecular Biology including standard cloning techniques,
sequence analysis, DNA and RNA extraction, ligation, PCR.
· Analyze and interpret experimental data using bioinformatics and statistical analysis tools.
· Perform laboratory techniques such as cell culture, ELISA, and other molecular biology techniques
· Collaborate with a team of scientists to design and execute experiments
· Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and publications based on research findings
