Responsibilities

• Offer personalized support to new mothers and families, including guidance on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Assist with newborn feeding routines, diapering, soothing techniques, and sleep strategies
• Conduct patient assessments to monitor physical recovery and emotional well-being of the mother
• Educate families on physiology related to postpartum changes and infant development
• Provide practical help with household tasks, meal preparation, and organization to ease family stress
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient needs and progress
• Maintain detailed records of services provided, observations, and family concerns

Requirements

• Proven experience as a postpartum doula or in a similar maternal support role
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and infant development stages
• Ability to perform patient assessments with sensitivity and professionalism
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to postpartum care and infant health
• Excellent patient service skills with a warm, empathetic approach
• Ability to conduct intake assessments and develop personalized care plans
• Certification in postpartum support or related fields is required
