Postpartum Doula/ Night Nanny/ Newborn Care Specialist

Sun & Stars Birth Services is always growing — and we’re looking for kind, reliable, and experienced Postpartum Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists to join our team of professionals supporting families through the early days of parenthood.

Our team provides compassionate, in-home care focused on recovery, rest, and confidence for new parents. If you’re passionate about nurturing families and helping newborns thrive, we’d love to meet you.

Position Details:

• Service Areas: Madison, Milwaukee, Rockford, and surrounding communities
• Hours: Flexible — daytime, overnight, and weekend shifts available
• Start Dates: Ongoing opportunities throughout 2026
• Pay Range: Depending on experience and shift type
• Employment Type: Independent Contractor
• **Must be willing to undergo a background check and provide professional references

We’re Looking For Team Members Who:

• Have professional experience supporting postpartum families (doula, newborn care specialist, or infant nanny experience preferred)
• Are kind, dependable, and professional in clients’ homes
• Have up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain before start)
• Value communication, respect, and teamwork
• Have reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to families within our service areas

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support for new parents during the postpartum period
• Assist with newborn care, feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques
• Support families with sleep and feeding routines
• Offer light household help related to baby (bottle washing, laundry, meal prep, etc.)
• Encourage emotional well-being and normalize the postpartum transition
• Maintain open communication and uphold Sun & Stars’ standards of care
