About the Role:
Womb to Moon Family Care is growing, and we’re looking for compassionate, grounded caregivers to support families during one of the most tender transitions of their lives.
This role blends newborn care with postpartum doula support—caring for babies while also nurturing, guiding, and holding space for parents as they recover and adjust. While we offer both day and overnight support, our greatest need is for overnight providers who can help families rest while their baby is safely and lovingly cared for.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide attentive, responsive care for newborns
- Support parents’ physical and emotional recovery during the postpartum period
- Offer evidence-based education and gentle guidance (feeding, soothing, recovery, newborn behavior)
- Assist with feeding support (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping support)
- Support healthy sleep routines and follow safe sleep practices
- Feed, change, soothe, and monitor baby throughout your shift
- Create a calm, respectful, and non-judgmental environment in the home
- Assist with light, baby-related tasks (laundry, bottle washing, tidying nursery areas)
- Keep simple logs of baby’s feeding, sleep, and care (especially for overnight shifts)
Overnight Support (Primary Need):
- Overnight providers play a key role in helping families get the rest they need. You’ll be responsible for tending to the baby throughout the night—feeding, soothing, and settling—while maintaining a peaceful, low-disruption environment. You may also offer quiet reassurance to parents during nighttime wake-ups.
Day Support (As Needed):
- Daytime shifts often include more hands-on postpartum doula work—supporting recovery, answering questions, helping parents build confidence, and offering practical guidance alongside newborn care.
Qualifications:
- Certified Postpartum Doula and/or Certified Newborn Care Specialist
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Active liability insurance
- 1–3 years of experience preferred, though newly certified providers are welcome to apply
Requirements:
- Two personal references
- Two professional references
- Clean background check
Who You Are:
- Warm, intuitive, and dependable
- A calm, steady presence in both daytime and overnight settings
- Respectful of diverse parenting choices and family dynamics
- Passionate about supporting families in a judgment-free, empowering way
