Power BI Expert

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join a well known Islamic Bank in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. We expect the candidate has strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling, with the ability to connect and transform data from diverse sources.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create and optimize data models from multiple data sources.
• Develop complex DAX measures and calculations.
• Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization.
• Implement row-level security and follow best practices for data governance.
• Monitor and improve report performance and refresh processes.
• Provide user training and documentation as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and BI trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
• Experience connecting Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Dataverse, Azure, Excel, APIs, etc.).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification.
• Background in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Experience with large datasets and performance tuning.
• Understanding of business domains such as finance, sales, operations.
