Power Plant Manager / O&M - Renewables & Power Risk

Renewable / Power Risk Engineer – Expat Tax free – £120k - £130k net plus fantastic benefits

Minimum Requirements

• At least a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. mechanical / civil / electrical)
• >8 years prior industrial experience in the conventional power generation industry (i.e. gas fired / oil fired / coal fired)
• >1 year prior experience of working as a risk engineer for a broker or insurer having led surveys for both operational and construction of power generation facilities
• Fluent in English
• Ability to travel freely around the region (KSA, Pakistan, Oman, etc.)
• Optional but looked favourably upon: Hold Chartership with a relevant authority (e.g. IMechE, EI, etc.); fluency in Arabic or French; experience of renewable power generation

Key Roles / Responsibilities

• Risk engineering surveys across conventional power and renewables – approx. 30% operational (Oman, UAE, Pakistan and Morocco) and approx. 70% construction (mostly in KSA)
• Development of new power risk engineering services and products
• Support RFPs & prospecting
• Technical leadership - training for other risk engineers (and brokers)
