Power System Engineer

Protection Engineer (Protection & Control / Substation) – Oman – 8 Month Contract

We are currently supporting a high-profile client in the power and utilities sector on an 8-month

project in Oman.

This role is focused on protection and control systems within substations and transmission networks, supporting the safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on protection and control systems for power networks

• Configure and test protection relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)

• Support testing and commissioning activities on substations

• Ensure protection schemes are correctly implemented and functioning

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and safety

Key Requirements:

• Experience in Protection & Control engineering within power systems

• Hands-on experience with protection relays and relay testing

• Experience working on substations or transmission networks

• Level 3 qualification in electrical/protection engineering (mandatory)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Important :

Candidates without the required Level 3 qualification will not be considered.

• 8-month contract
