Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-kindergarten / Afterschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic educational environment. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play, arts, music, and storytelling.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies to create a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, snack times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support their developmental needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Provide first aid when necessary, adhering to safety protocols to ensure children's well-being.
  • Incorporate elements of special education techniques when needed to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Support children's social skills development through guided group activities, sports coaching, or theater-based exercises.
  • Engage children in age-specific childcare activities such as babysitting or camp-style programs during afterschool hours.
  • Uphold all daycare regulations and safety standards while fostering a nurturing atmosphere rooted in positive behavior management.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp programs, or tutoring environments is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices is essential.
  • Experience managing classrooms or group activities with children of various ages demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
  • Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional credentials in special education or behavior management are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Christian counseling or other supportive approaches can enhance the ability to address emotional needs compassionately.
  • Previous roles involving sports coaching, theater activities, or babysitting showcase versatility in engaging children through diverse methods.

Pay: $8.25 - $10.25 per hour
