Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Pre K Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool children. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment for children
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and hands-on activities to promote cognitive and social development
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring inclusive classroom practices
- Help monitor children's progress and communicate observations to lead teachers for ongoing assessment and curriculum adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials, toys, and learning resources
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians by sharing updates on children's activities and developmental milestones
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with children with autism or disabilities
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math activities, and Montessori or other early childhood teaching methods
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with children and families
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners
- Relevant certifications or coursework in early childhood education or childcare are a plus
