Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will lead a vibrant preschool classroom, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and ensuring each child's social, emotional, and academic growth. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a positive foundation for lifelong learning while promoting curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, incorporating literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where appropriate
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool experience, and special education needs
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and individualized instruction for children with diverse learning styles or early intervention requirements
- Foster strong communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare and development
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly
- Support social-emotional development through positive behavior management strategies and conflict resolution techniques
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is required; experience with toddlers is highly valued
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare and daycare environments
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is preferred
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities for young children
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with families and team members
- Certification in early childhood education or equivalent credentials are highly desirable; Montessori training or private school experience is a plus
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
