Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among preschool children
- Develop and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that supports child welfare and promotes social-emotional development
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support ongoing child development at home and school
- Oversee classroom management duties such as maintaining organized learning spaces, documenting student progress, and preparing for standardized testing or assessments
Skills
- Extensive experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool or toddler care
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in classroom management
- Proficiency in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori techniques
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those needing special education or early intervention services
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Skilled in behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation
- Experience with classroom experience in daycare or private school settings is highly desirable
