Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a deep understanding of childhood development, as well as knowledge in implementing the Montessori Curriculum. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing lesson plans that incorporate various subjects, including math, while fostering a love for learning in each child.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages social interaction and emotional growth.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Assess and document children's progress in various areas, including social skills, cognitive development, and physical abilities.
  • Incorporate and plan activities that promote early childhood education principles that align with the Montessori Curriculum.
  • Collaborate with other educators to create an integrated curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those requiring special education support.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide individualized support to children as needed, ensuring each child's unique learning style is accommodated.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of the Montessori Curriculum preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning standards.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with lesson planning techniques and curriculum development for young learners.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes exploration, independence, and student-led learning.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
