Pre-K Lead Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves developing age-appropriate curricula, fostering social and emotional growth, and supporting early childhood development through innovative teaching methods. Experience in classroom management, curriculum development, and working with children of diverse needs is essential. A strong understanding of childhood education principles, behavior management, and child welfare practices will ensure success in this rewarding position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes social skills, emotional regulation, and cooperative play.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure safety, discipline, and effective learning experiences for preschool-aged children.
  • Support children with special needs through individualized instruction and early intervention strategies.
  • Incorporate developmental assessments and standardized testing to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any behavioral or developmental concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student development and classroom activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum updates, and teaching techniques.

Experience

  • Prior experience in preschool or daycare settings is required; private school experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Knowledge of special education strategies, early intervention programs, and literacy education is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with toddlers or in Montessori environments is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with childhood development milestones, behavior management techniques, and child welfare practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
