Pre-K Lead Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, managing classroom activities, and supporting the social-emotional growth of preschool children. Duties

  • Develop and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s emotional well-being.
  • Implement curriculum development strategies tailored to individual learning needs, including special education and early intervention techniques.
  • Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children’s progress and classroom activities.
  • Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions and effective classroom management practices.
  • Support children’s developmental milestones related to childhood development, toddler care, and preschool experience.
  • Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when applicable.

Skills

  • Proven experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool or daycare settings.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners effectively.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and tutoring methods to support individual growth.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions.
  • Knowledge of child welfare practices and safety protocols within childcare environments.
  • Competence in teaching physical education activities that encourage motor skills development.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
