Duties
- Develop and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children’s emotional well-being.
- Implement curriculum development strategies tailored to individual learning needs, including special education and early intervention techniques.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children’s progress and classroom activities.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions and effective classroom management practices.
- Support children’s developmental milestones related to childhood development, toddler care, and preschool experience.
- Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences when applicable.
Skills
- Proven experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners effectively.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and tutoring methods to support individual growth.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and safety protocols within childcare environments.
- Competence in teaching physical education activities that encourage motor skills development.
