Pre-K Associate Teacher – Job Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Supervise children to ensure a safe and nurturing classroom environment
• Help manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques
• Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning centers, and activities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom in accordance with licensing standards
• Assist with meal times, restroom routines, and transitions throughout the day
• Observe and document children’s progress and behaviors as directed
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and staff
• Follow all center policies, procedures, and state childcare regulations
• Support inclusion and meet the needs of children with varying abilities
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
• At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience working with children three-five years of age in a home or center setting.

This is a school year position with summer months off.
