Pre-K Associate Teacher – Job Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Supervise children to ensure a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Help manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques
- Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning centers, and activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom in accordance with licensing standards
- Assist with meal times, restroom routines, and transitions throughout the day
- Observe and document children’s progress and behaviors as directed
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and staff
- Follow all center policies, procedures, and state childcare regulations
- Support inclusion and meet the needs of children with varying abilities
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
- At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience working with children three-five years of age in a home or center setting.
This is a school year position with summer months off.
