Job Summary:We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Pre-Primary Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing, guiding, and educating young children in their formative years (typically ages 2-6), fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive development. This role requires a compassionate approach, a creative mindset, and the ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Instruction:
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans based on a variety of learning frameworks and curricula.
- Teach foundational subjects such as literacy, numeracy, art, music, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Create an interactive and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying developmental needs of students.
- Student Development:
- Observe and assess students' progress, skills, and areas of growth regularly.
- Offer individualized support to children with special learning needs.
- Provide positive reinforcement and feedback to encourage student development.
- Foster social skills, self-regulation, and emotional intelligence through structured activities.
- Classroom Management:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
- Manage and resolve conflicts and behavioral issues effectively.
- Create routines and schedules that children can follow, providing a sense of security and stability.
- Promote respect, inclusiveness, and cooperation among students.
- Parental Communication:
- Regularly update parents on their child's development and progress.
- Hold parent-teacher meetings and provide suggestions for supporting learning at home.
- Address concerns or queries from parents in a timely manner.
- Collaboration & Professional Development:
- Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded, collaborative approach to learning.
- Attend professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated with the latest educational practices.
- Participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, or related field (preferred).
- Certification in Pre-Primary Teaching, NTT (Nursery Teacher Training), or similar qualifications (desired).
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Pre-Primary Teacher or Early Childhood Educator (1-3 years preferred).
- Experience working with young children in a structured educational environment.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and educational activities.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education techniques.
- Familiarity with digital tools and educational resources.
