Job opening for Teachers - Pre Primary (Montessori)

Job Location: Bandra, Mumbai

About Aseema Charitable Trust: Aseema is a Mumbai-based NGO that is committed to equipping children from marginalised communities with high quality, value-based education, enabling the development of their limitless potential. We run three municipal schools in Mumbai in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), and one school for tribal children in Igatpuri. Aseema reaches out to 4,400 children living in vulnerable circumstances in urban slums and tribal communities.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Read, imbibe and practice Aseema’s approach to education

2. Prepare teaching aids, plan games and activities and facilitate hands-on learning with the children

3. Teach in an experiential manner and make learning relevant and meaningful for the children

4. Encourage questioning and thinking and give children ample opportunity to assimilate learning

5. Evaluate child’s academic and social growth, keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports.

6. Monitor child’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing.

7. Supervise the children in order to make sure they are safe.

8. Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
1. Graduate with RTI Montessori Training Course required.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of work experience preferred. Freshers with good communication skills can apply.
3. Able to build a rapport with children, and find creative ways to engage children.
