Preschool Assistant Director

Overview
Join our vibrant educational community as a Preschool Assistant Director, where your leadership and organizational skills will help shape a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for young children. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, support teaching staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education. Your strategic planning and management expertise will foster a safe, engaging, and enriching atmosphere that promotes growth and development for every child.

Our ideal candidate understands Reggio Emilia pedagogy or is willing to learn and implement she/he must also have an understanding of toxic free environments and earth friendly practices.

Duties

  • Assist in developing and implementing curriculum plans aligned with educational standards and best practices
  • Assist Director in daily operations - report and or consult to Director when necessary
  • Support the management of classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and address individual needs effectively
  • Assist Director with administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and compliance with licensing requirements
  • Assist in managing the preschool’s budget, resources, and supplies to optimize operational efficiency
  • Coordinate communication between parents, staff, and administration to foster a transparent community atmosphere
  • Able to substitute in any age group when needed.

Requirements

  • CDA completed
  • Director Credentials completed and active (will be used for licensing purposes)
  • Proven management experience within an educational setting or administration role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of educators
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and teaching methodologies
  • Experience with strategic planning and budgeting within an educational environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and compliance standards
  • Passion for fostering a positive learning environment that supports both children’s growth and staff development

PAY increase with enrollment milestones. Rates posted are starting rates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
