Preschool Assistant Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Preschool Assistant Director to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will support the overall management of the preschool, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young learners. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and administrative staff to uphold educational excellence and operational efficiency. Your strategic planning skills and management expertise will help foster a positive school culture that promotes growth, creativity, and learning for all children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing the preschool’s educational programs aligned with best practices in early childhood education
  • Support daily operations, including staff scheduling, classroom management, and student enrollment processes
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure curriculum quality and adherence to educational standards
  • Contribute to budgeting processes by monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation
  • Lead staff meetings, provide mentorship to teaching staff, and promote professional development opportunities
  • Oversee compliance with licensing regulations and health and safety protocols
  • Engage with parents to communicate student progress and address concerns proactively

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education Administration, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • Proven experience in preschool management or administration within an educational setting
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of educators and staff
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, budgeting, and management principles applicable to early childhood programs
  • Familiarity with university-level education systems or experience working in higher education environments is advantageous
  • Demonstrated teaching experience with young children and understanding of curriculum development
  • Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners
