Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team at Little Angels School of Modesto. In this role, you will support lead teachers in providing a nurturing, safe, and development-focused environment across our infant, toddler, and preschool programs. Your enthusiasm will help foster early childhood growth, promote social-emotional development, and create a warm "second home" for our young learners. Position Description
- Curriculum Support: Assist lead teachers in implementing development-focused daily activities that promote curiosity, confidence, and creativity in literacy, math, and social skills.
- Individualized Care: Support children’s developmental milestones by providing compassionate care, individual attention, and behavior management strategies during classroom routines and playtime.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and structured yet flexible learning environment that adapts to the needs of diverse learners, including children with special needs.
- Meal & Routine Support: Assist with thoughtfully planned, healthy daily meal times (breakfast, lunch, and snacks) and support potty training routines or toddler care as needed.
- Parent Communication: Collaborate with the team to communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress, daily behaviors, and milestones using our comprehensive Little Angels School App.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of early childhood development, play-based learning methodologies, and positive classroom management practices.
- Passion for instilling strong moral values, confidence, and a collaborative spirit in young explorers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to seamlessly connect with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Childcare License & Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain them) are required. Must be able to pass the standard California Background check.
- Ability to physically engage with active children, managing outdoor play, garden activities, and classroom routines with energy and enthusiasm.

This position is from 8:00 AM-12:30 PM, Monday through Friday onsite.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
