Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development activities
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and learning through play
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations
- Support individualized learning needs by working with children with disabilities or special needs such as autism or other developmental delays
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative learning environment
- Assist with routine childcare tasks such as diapering, feeding, and nap time to ensure comfort and well-being of all children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Familiarity with curriculum development including literacy education, math concepts, Montessori or other educational philosophies is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues confidently
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced setting
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
