Job Summary

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, kitchens, and play areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Disinfect surfaces regularly to prevent the spread of germs and maintain health standards
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors to ensure they are clean, safe, and visually appealing
• Empty trash receptacles and sanitize waste disposal areas daily
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials as needed
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance or cleaning needs and report issues promptly
• Follow safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and maintaining a hazard-free environment

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial duties or facilities maintenance within educational or childcare settings
• Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), disinfecting surfaces, and restroom sanitation
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers safely and effectively
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning products and procedures for maintaining a hygienic environment
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying cleanliness issues before they escalate
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including bending, lifting, standing for extended periods and climbing ladders if necessary
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with staff regarding cleaning schedules or special requests

Pay: From $1,250.00 per month
