Preschool Daycare Lead Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare Assistant to join our team in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood development and the ability to support the lead teacher in implementing daily activities that promote learning and growth. This role is essential in ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive.

Duties

• Assist in the supervision of children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support the lead teacher in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that foster learning and development.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment regularly.
• Engage with children through play, storytelling, and educational activities to encourage social interaction and cognitive skills.
• Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance on classroom management techniques as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Provide first aid when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with infant care, including feeding, diaper changing, and comforting as required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
• Certification in First Aid or CPR is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
• A genuine love for working with children and helping them learn and grow is essential.
