Job Summary
The Preschool Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. This role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, with a focus on strategic planning and effective budgeting.

Duties

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the preschool, including staff supervision, curriculum development, and program implementation.
  • Develop and maintain budgets to ensure financial stability while meeting educational goals.
  • Create and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality of education and care provided to children.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for educators and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Educate parents about the preschool’s programs, policies, and child development resources.
  • Conduct regular assessments of educational programs to ensure they meet the needs of all children.
  • Organize professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • Ability to qualify as a director or site supervisor per state licensing.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles within an educational setting, particularly in early childhood education.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting processes and financial management in an educational context.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills with the ability to set long-term goals for program development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with staff, parents, and community members.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to market and grow the program to it's fullest potential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,283.71 - $54,535.22 per year
