Preschool Lead Teacher

A classroom lead teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum and lesson plans, and managing the day-to-day activities of the classroom. A lead teacher must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Lead teacher must possess strong communication skills with both children and adults.

  • Coordinate and implement Creative Curriculum.
  • Plan large and small group activities aligning with Teaching Strategies Objectives.
  • Lead classroom teaching team by modeling and coaching.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through Brightwheel, informal discussions, weekly reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure that all center policies and state regulations are met.
  • Maintain appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards for the classroom and children.
  • Maintain an ECERS rating of 5.0
  • Supervise teaching assistants to ensure they follow planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
  • Continue professional development

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
