Preschool Lead Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role is essential in guiding students through their early learning experiences, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage and inspire.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the Creative Curriculum.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the child's development.
• Conduct regular assessments of student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Provide care for 3k or 2k children, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
• Collaborate with other educators to develop and enhance curriculum initiatives.
• Implement early intervention strategies for children who may need additional support.
• Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to create an optimal learning space.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
• Strong background in lesson planning and familiarity with the Creative Curriculum tailored for young children.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
• Ability to create engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles.
• A nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for teaching young children.
• For 2k or 3k teacher - candidate must hold an Associates in early childhood or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field, or be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree with enough early childhood credits.
• Certification is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with creating lesson plans, behavior management and early childhood practices.

This is a 10-month position. Hours are 8:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the 50th St location in Sunset Park.

The position is for a 2's, 3's or 4's Lead Teacher.

• Bilingual Mandarin, Spanish preferred
• Additional center/school requirements may apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,647.22 - $62,000.00 per year
