Preschool Lead Teacher

Position Summary

The Goddard School of Centerville is seeking a passionate and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to create an engaging, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for young learners. Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lesson plans aligned with The Goddard School curriculum and Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards
• Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages growth and discovery
• Support each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through intentional teaching and play-based learning
• Establish strong relationships with families through daily communication and periodic conferences
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers, providing direction and modeling best teaching practices
• Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and The Goddard School’s health and safety policies
• Observe and assess children’s development to inform instruction and individualized support

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (required)
• Minimum of one year of classroom experience (Preschool setting preferred)
• Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning standards
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Dependable, professional, and dedicated to creating a positive learning experience
• Must pass required background check and meet Ohio licensing requirements

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday

Hours between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (shifts vary)
