Preschool Lead Teacher

Your expertise in early childhood education and classroom management will empower children to explore, discover, and thrive during their formative years.

Duties

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and social interaction among preschool children.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies to ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, behavioral observations, and developmental milestones through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Support children with special needs by integrating early intervention strategies and working closely with specialists to tailor individual learning plans.
  • Oversee daily childcare routines including toddler care practices, meal times, nap schedules, and hygiene protocols to ensure child welfare and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments (including standardized testing where applicable), and classroom supplies while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool settings or daycare environments with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
  • Prior classroom management experience demonstrating the ability to lead a diverse group of young learners effectively.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development techniques across early childhood education disciplines such as literacy education, math instruction, and physical education.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • Experience in Montessori or other alternative educational approaches is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners to foster collaborative support for children's growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement lesson planning strategies that incorporate child welfare standards while promoting an enriching learning environment.
