Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Your role is vital in creating a positive learning atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and excited to explore the world around them. Duties

  • Design and execute innovative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches
  • Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills
  • Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
  • Monitor and assess children's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing when appropriate
  • Incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and other developmental areas into daily activities
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and classroom incidents in compliance with licensing requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with a strong background in childhood development
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
  • Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators
  • Ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions
  • Childcare certification or early childhood education credentials; prior preschool experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain detailed records
  • Passion for nurturing young children’s growth academically, socially, and emotionally
