Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative, age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic childhood development.
• Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to create a respectful and inclusive classroom culture that promotes social-emotional learning.
• Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs—including special education and early intervention—and support child welfare initiatives.
• Implement classroom management techniques that maintain safety, organization, and engagement among students of diverse backgrounds.
• Incorporate standardized testing practices when appropriate to assess developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, childhood development theories, and best practices in early childhood education.

Experience

CDA REQUIRED**

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; experience with toddlers care is highly valued.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies.
• Knowledge of special education principles and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or other early childhood educational philosophies is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.
• Experience in private school environments or daycare centers enhances suitability for this role.
• Proven ability to create engaging learning experiences that foster literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
