Duties

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, and physical education.
• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that support children's social and emotional well-being.
• Lead daily classroom activities focused on early childhood education standards, ensuring each child's individual needs are met through tailored instruction and early intervention techniques.
• Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones using clear and compassionate communication skills.
• Oversee toddler care routines and ensure adherence to childcare best practices for safety, hygiene, and child welfare.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress in literacy, math skills, and overall childhood development.
• Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality classroom experience and ensure compliance with daycare regulations and private school standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and high school diploma.
• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and inclusive teaching practices for diverse learners.
• Prior experience with Montessori or other alternative educational philosophies is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
• Ability to lead classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall child welfare.
• Certification in early childhood education or related field; additional training in special education or tutoring is a plus.
