Preschool Teacher

Jacksonville Classical Academy is currently hiring a Preschool Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year who has a passion for classical education. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching preschool as well as their Florida Director Credential. Successful candidates are detail oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, faculty, and administrators.

Overall Responsibilities

Leads classroom instruction in a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Responsible for curriculum planning, staff supervision, family communication, and ensuring developmentally appropriate practices that support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.

Leadership

• Maintain a high personal standard consistent with the school’s Core Virtues, vision, mission and motto.
• Support the vision, policies, financial objectives and directives of the governing board.
• Support a positive school culture based on mutual respect and shared expectations.
• Be willing to assist others as needed.

Qualifications

• Florida Director Credential (mandatory for licensing)
• CDA (Child Development Associate)
• FCCPC (Florida Child Care Professional Credential)
• ECPC or approved equivalent
• Approved early childhood degree
• 30-Hour DCF Introductory Child Care Training
