Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
Qualifications:
- Early Child Hood CDA Certificate (minimal)
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of special education strategies to support students with diverse learning needs
- Understanding of childhood development principles to create appropriate learning experiences
- Experience in daycare or child welfare settings to provide comprehensive care for children
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured and productive learning environment
- Ability to provide tutoring or additional support to students as needed
- Knowledge of physical education principles to promote healthy habits in young children
- Proficiency in lesson planning to create engaging and educational activities for students
- Experience in toddler care to meet the unique needs of this age group
