DESCRIPTION

Maternity of Mary-St. Andrew Catholic School (MMSA) is seeking a joy-filled, and faith-filled preschool teacher to join our wonderful preschool for the 2026-27 academic year!

Key Responsibilities of this position include::

  • Assisting in ensuring a joyful, safe and enriching preschool environment
  • Identifying and implementing learning strategies to help students grow academically, socially, physically, and spiritually.
  • Effectively supervising and working directly with preschool students.
  • Evaluating student performance and working with other preschool staff to best support student growth.
  • Assisting with the preparation of lesson plans.
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Working positively and supportively with co-workers and supervisors in maintaining a safe, clean, functional, and energetic classroom.
  • Attending meetings/special initiatives and professional development required by the school, parish, and/or Archdiocese.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of students, families and school information.
  • Supporting policies within MMSA employee handbook.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Lower School Director and/or Principal.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree is preferred but not required.
  • Current MN teaching license is a plus but not required
  • Pass required background check and any additional required pre-employment training (e.g. Virtus)
